Tutorial: manage your registered NNS DID account
This tutorial will guide you through the process of setting your Primary DID, managing your DID and subdomains, transferring your DID, and extending the registration of a name.
Simply sign in to nft.space. Click My Account at any time to manage your account
1. Set your Primary NNS Name
Primary NNS Name
This designates one of your DID to represent your Ethereum account and act as your cross-platform Web2 and Web3 profiles. You can only have one Primary NNS Name per ETH address and you can change it at any time.
Click Set up in the Primary NNS Name section to set your primary DID.
If there is only one DID name associated with the current address, you can set this DID as the primary NNS name. If the current wallet address has more than one DID, you can choose one as the Primary NNS name, and it can be replaced at any time.
Click Save to confirm the Primary NNS name, you can also find better timing to do this for minimizing Ethereum gas fees.
2. Set up identity information
Click on the NNS name, in the “Set up identity information” section, click Edit to set up.
- Check the Address section is the same as the current linked wallet address; if the Address section is empty, please fill in the current wallet address. Make sure to double-check that you’re inputting the correct information.
- You could also enter your personal page on TwitterScan and Link3 to link the corresponding accounts, then click Reserve to save the changes.
3. Manage the Registrant and the Controller
Every DID has a Registrant. The registrant indicates the owner of a DID registration. Only the registrant can transfer ownership of DID registration. If you transfer the Registrant to an address you do not own, you will lose ownership of the name.
Every DID has a Controller. The controller is the administrator privilege and can do all the privileges except transferring the domain owner, including setting reverse resolution and subdomains, adding personal information, etc. You can click Set up to bind a Controller to the DID.
4. Manage the Subdomains
Select a DID name, enter the settings page, and click Subdomains to enter the subdomain settings page.
Click + Add subdomain, in the pop-up box “Add secondary identity”, enter the subdomain name and confirm.
Each domain name can have multiple subdomains. You can use the subdomain for yourself or give it to other users. (Set the Controller of the subdomain as someone else’s wallet address, so that the subdomain can be used by others)
5. DID yearly renewal
You can add registration years to any existing name by paying the required fee, at any time. The renewal period can be selected as 1 year or multiple years.
Click Renewal on the page below to bring up the selection of renewal years. Click “+” on the following page to select the number of years you want to renew and click Reserve to confirm.
