Dear NNS supporters & partners:

We’ve decided to deprecate the NNS .NFT to honor Unstoppable Domains’ rights in its .NFT registry, which dates back to 2021. Domains that were formerly NNS .nft will now rebrand to a corresponding domain on a new TLD, .META. We will apply to ICANN for the .META TLD in the future to achieve true interconnection between Web2 and Web3.

We’re also excited to join the Web3 Domain Alliance so we can work with Unstoppable Domains and other leaders to responsibly develop the Web3 namespace. The future of Web3 identity is bright, but only if we work together to create a Web3 space that’s safe for users.

NNS supporters: What to know if you own .nft

For all NNS supporters, we will airdrop the new TLD, .META to your address, provide you with another year of registration for free, along with a same-value coupon with your registration fee that could be used for getting another domain or extending the registration, and a $10 credit to purchase a domain name from Unstoppable Domains.

We’re aligned with Unstoppable Domains to foster both innovation and safety in Web3 namespaces. We will be offering Unstoppable Domains’ registration on NNS, as well as taking on regional marketing developments for Unstoppable Domains. We also look forward to working with Unstoppable Domains on upcoming projects — more to come!
